Time for What Matters: Two Free Live Sessions on Friday, October 16

Time for What Matters: Two Free Live Sessions on Friday, October 16

Every week has a task in it you'd love never to do again. The follow-up email you've written more times than you can count. The reminder that has to go out every Thursday. The same question, answered again since Monday.

On Friday, October 16, we're hosting two live sessions of Time for What Matters: one for small business owners and one for ministry leaders. Both are online by video, and both are free.

Two editions, one Friday

Business edition: Friday, October 16, 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM ET. For small business owners and their teams, especially here in the Knoxville area, who finish the day's work and then face an evening of catch-up.

Ministry edition: Friday, October 16, 6:00 to 7:45 PM ET. For pastors, church staff, and the volunteers who keep the church office running.

Pick the one that fits your work. The approach is the same; the examples are different.

What you'll do

This isn't a lecture on technology. It's a working session.

Bring one task. Come with the one weekly task you'd most like never to do again. Write it down before you log on. We'll work with real tasks, not made-up ones.

See how a person-approved system works. A simple tool can draft a reminder, follow up on a sign-up, or answer a question that comes in every week. But a person approves the wording, and a person stays responsible for what goes out. You'll see what that looks like in practice.

Learn what AI must never touch. Some work always belongs to a person. In a church, that means care conversations, prayer requests, and anything personal. In a business, it means the relationships and judgment calls your customers trust you with. We'll draw that line first, before anything else.

Care and safety always stay with a person. If you or someone you love is in danger, call or text 988.

Who it's for

The business edition is for owners and small teams who feel the pull of the second shift: missed calls, quotes that never got a follow-up, invoices that need a nudge. You don't need to be technical. You only need to know which task you're tired of.

A plain note: we don't work with medical, dental or counseling practices, pharmacies, or any business that holds health records, so the business edition isn't meant for those settings.

The ministry edition is for pastors, church administrators, and volunteers who carry more than their share of the weekly load. If you know the exhaustion that comes from carrying everyone else, this evening is for you.

We won't promise you a number of hours. We'd rather help you see your own week clearly and make one good decision about it.

Why we're doing this

Scripture says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom" (Psalm 90:12, KJV). The days are numbered either way. The question is what fills them.

I'm Jeffrey T. Crick, MAHSC, CpastC, and I served in the human service profession. These sessions are our way of helping people take an honest look at their week and decide, carefully, what a person keeps and what a simple tool can carry.

Both sessions are free. Choose the one that fits, and bring your task.
