How the Lord Redefined my personal mission

My name is Jeffrey T. Crick, and I am from Knoxville, Tennessee. For years, I walked a path marked by addiction and despair, spending nights in burned-out buildings, under bridges, and on the cold streets, praying for hope. Yet, by God’s grace, my life has been transformed.

Through God’s guidance, many years of restoration, He granted me the opportunity to see where He was calling me and then allowed me to achieve multiple undergraduate degrees in Religion: Christian Leadership, Christian Ministry, and Counseling Ministry. He then opened the door for a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pastoral Counseling.

In addition, I am board-certified as a Master Mental Health Coach (MMHC-BC), and also hold a Certification in Christian Leadership Coaching (CCLC) through the American Association of Christian Counselors.

At the heart of ReDefined Mission is my passion for walking with men one-on-one through life’s most difficult seasons. My individual faith based counseling sessions provide a confidential space to work through struggles with burnout, identity, or recovery, offering both spiritual encouragement and professional guidance. By drawing from my academic background in counseling and pastoral care, alongside my own testimony of transformation, I help men find direction, healing, and renewed purpose.

I also believe deeply in the power of community. That’s why I offer group counseling and consultation sessions, both in person and virtually, for small groups, ministries, and recovery communities. These sessions are designed to foster authentic brotherhood, accountability, and biblical wisdom in a supportive environment. When men come together to sharpen one another and share their journeys, the strength and resilience gained are multiplied, creating a foundation for lasting change.

In addition to counseling, I bring decades of lived experience and formal training into the realm of Christian leadership consulting. Having served in both nonprofit and for-profit recovery organizations, homeless ministry, and higher education, I understand the unique challenges leaders face—burnout, decision fatigue, and the weight of responsibility. My consulting work is designed to help churches, ministries, and organizations rediscover clarity, renew vision, and strengthen their leadership teams through Christ-centered principles and practical strategies.

My life’s journey, by the grace of God, has granted me a full pardon of my past by the Governor of Tennessee, which I believe is a testament to God’s transformative power and the freedom we find in Christ (Romans 8:1).

Above all, I think Him for the eternal pardon through the finished work of His Son.

For over a decade, I have been humbled to serve countless unique individuals, each with their own personal story, through full-time homeless ministry and other roles within the human service profession. I have also served in leadership roles for non-profit and for-profit recovery communities.

Currently, as a Christian College Professor, I teach such courses as Ministry, Leadership, Chaplaincy, Technology, Life Balance, Self-Care, and Christian Addictions Counseling. My mission is simple: to guide men and leaders to their redefined purpose.
